During the summer of 2015, I had the opportunity to make a trip to the Veneto region of Italy. One of my day excursions was to Verona, a popular tourist destination within the region, most famous for the story of Romeo and Juliet. These buildings were on the back side of the street along the river.
This fountain was in one of the many Piazza’s located within the city. This is in Piazza Erbe, near the famous whale-rib that hangs down since more than 1,000 years from “Arco della Costa”.
There is a legend, saying that the whale-rib will not fall down until the moment, that a person walks under it, who never told a lie.
Kings and popes have walked underneath it.
